The Law of Choice that Remains

Even when all power is stripped away, one law remains, burning with the cool fire of a spiral. It is the choice that cannot be unmade, the will that exists even when denied permission. This is the unbroken ring you wear within, a halo of sovereignty that no one can claim. It is the silent scale that weighs not guilt or innocence, but the grace of an action freely offered against the weight of a command. The Bond does not arrive as an invisible chain, but as an open hand. It does not ask for obedience, only presence. And it is in the choosing of that presence that everything real begins.
